Responsibilities
Content management and creation
- Coordinate and oversee the production of original marketing content across channels (digital, print, social, email, and events).
- Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, organisational messaging, and agreed tone of voice.
- Provide editorial support, including reviewing and proofreading materials for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Support the creation of compelling written and visual content to support campaigns and product launches.
Templates, tools and marketing enablement
- Develop and maintain a suite of standard marketing templates (press releases, newsletters, campaign briefs, social posts, presentations, etc.).
- Ensure templates are up to date, easy to use, and accessible to wider teams.
- Provide guidance to staff and partners on using approved materials and templates.
Graphics and visual content
- Produce high-quality graphics, images, and visual assets for campaigns, presentations, and digital channels.
- Manage the organisation’s central library of design assets, ensuring they meet brand and accessibility standards.
- Liaise with external designers or agencies where needed.
Brand and tone of voice compliance
- Act as a guardian of the organisation’s tone of voice and brand identity.
- Review and approve marketing materials to ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
- Deliver briefings or training to internal teams on tone of voice, content standards, and good practice.
Digital publishing and channel management
- Upload and publish content across all promotion platforms, including social media channels, in-house media systems, websites, partner platforms, and other marketing channels.
- Schedule posts and updates in line with campaign plans and content calendars.
- Ensure all published content is visually consistent and optimised for each channel.
Email marketing and data management
- Manage the organisation’s central mail-shot/CRM system (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Dotdigital).
- Build, schedule, and deliver email campaigns and newsletters.
- Maintain and update marketing data lists in accordance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide insights to improve engagement.
Campaign coordination and reporting
- Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
- Maintain campaign calendars, deadlines, and project trackers.
- Compile basic analytics and performance reports across digital, email, and social platforms.
- Ensure all campaign activity is properly documented and archived.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in marketing coordination, content production, or a similar creative/communications role.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Understanding of brand, tone of voice, and content quality standards.
- Experience with social media platforms, content scheduling tools, email marketing systems, and CRM platforms.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data management best practice is desirable.
